Officer Ryan Haley!

Last night, Ryan and I had to privilege to attend the annual MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Law Enforcement Recognition Banquet. Each year, MADD has a banquet to thank the officers that go above and beyond in catching impaired drivers and bringing them to justice. Ryan was nominated for being the number one patrol officer in his entire department for DUI arrests. He was also recognized for his professionalism and knowledge in the court room when testifying, his amazing report writing abilities, and for being a mentor and role model to other officers in his department. The memorandum that his lieutenant wrote about him brought me to tears when I read it. Hearing his name called and seeing him walk up to the stage was a huge honor. I just can't even explain the pride I felt as I stood there and clapped for MY husband who was being honored in front of a room filled with people who truly appreciated him for everything he does. It's like… well, it's indescribable. It's just a really special feeling to finally see him recognized for all of his hard work and dedication to his department and our community.

I know I am always so mushy gushy when it comes to Ryan but I just can't help it. I am so in love with that man and I am so thankful to have him in my life. Sometimes I honestly stop and wonder to myself how I got so lucky… To have found someone so perfect for me who makes every day of my life amazing in some way or another. I am so incredibly proud of him for the all around amazing man that he is. Father, Husband, Police Officer. He's just the absolute best there is and I am so thankful to be his wife. I know that my life will always be something special because I have him (and Claire, of course) and that's really all that matters.
